Swordfish cakes

Homemade prepared, the Swordfish cake is a traditional Sicilian dish that lends itself as a rich appetizer or excellent second fish course.
Small pieces of Swordfish of sashimi grade, are reduced to create a delicate pulp that is mixed with top quality ingredients such as breadcrumbs, Provola Dei Nebrodi, Ragusano D.O.P. cheeses and Extra Virgin Olive Oil, everything give to the product unmistakable taste and aroma.
The product is immediately cut down -40 °C to preserve all the freshness and goodness of the ingredients.

Ingredients

SWORDFISH (*), bread crumbs of Sicilian durum wheat semolina with yeast base (durum WHEAT semolina, water, yeast base, salt, yeast), white Treccione cheese (pasteurized cow’s MILK, salt, rennet), tomato pulp (tomato pulp, tomato juice, salt), sultanas (dried grapes, vegetable oil), Provola dei Nebrodi spun cheese (MILK, salt, rennet), onion, extra virgin olive oil, Ragusano D.O.P. spun cheese (raw cow’s MILK, salt, rennet), bread crumbs (WHEAT semolina, water, salt, yeast), shelled pine nuts, parsley, salt, food salt, black pepper. May contain traces of: molluscs, crustaceans, nuts, soya, sesame.

Cooking

To better enjoy the product, it is recommended to allow the product to thaw in the fridge for at least 12 hours, alternatively you can thaw the product in the microwave (defrost function). Bake in a ventilated oven preheated to 180 °C for about 10 -12 minutes or in a microwave oven with crisp function for about 5-6 minutes. (Refer to the manual of the microwave oven for cooking suggestions).

Conservation

The product is frozen. Store at a temperature not exceeding -18 °C. Properly preserved, it has a duration of 12 months starting from the date of production. It must be preferably consumed by the date indicated on the package. Once thawed, the product must be consumed within 24 hours. Do not freeze again.
