Anchovies cakes

Blue fish at its excellence, Anchovy is a versatile product, basic ingredient of exquisite Sicilian recipes.
In this recipe, the anchovy fillets are reduced to create a delicate pulp that is mixed with top quality ingredients such as Sicilian breadcrumbs, Provola dei Nebrodi, Ragusano D.O.P cheeses, Extra virgin olive oil and a heart of smoked braids that gives the product characteristic taste and aroma.
The cake is then breaded and immediately cut down -40°C to preserve all the freshness and goodness of the ingredients.

Ingredients

ANCHOVIES (*), bread crumbs of Sicilian durum wheat semolina with yeast base (durum WHEAT semolina, water, yeast base, salt, yeast), braids cheese smoked with aromatic woods (pasteurized MILK, salt, rennet), tomato pulp (tomato pulp, tomato juice, salt) sultanas (dried grapes, vegetable oil), extra virgin olive oil, Provola dei Nebrodi spun cheese (MILK, salt, rennet), Ragusano D.O.P. spun cheese (raw cow’s MILK, salt, rennet), bread crumbs (WHEAT semolina, water, salt, yeast), parsley, food salt, black pepper. May contain traces of: molluscs, crustaceans, nuts, soya, sesame.

Cooking

To better enjoy the product, it is recommended to allow the product to thaw in the fridge for at least 12 hours, alternatively you can thaw the product in the microwave (defrost function). Bake in a ventilated oven preheated to 180 °C for about 10 -12 minutes or in a microwave oven with crisp function for about 5-6 minutes. (Refer to the manual of the microwave oven for cooking suggestions).

Conservation

The product is frozen. Store at a temperature not exceeding -18 °C. Properly preserved, it has a duration of 12 months starting from the date of production. It must be preferably consumed by the date indicated on the package. Once thawed, the product must be consumed within 24 hours. Do not freeze again.
